Description

Keep high-voltage spark flowing to the right cap terminal with the ThunderSpark Distributor Rotor 926-1016 (also written 9261016). This rotor transfers current from the ignition coil to the correct terminal on the distributor cap, distributing spark to each engine cylinder for accurate ignition timing. It’s a direct-fit replacement across a wide range of listed applications, including the 1982 Lincoln Continental, 1980-1986 Ford Bronco, 1977-1983 Ford F-100, 1979-1983 Ford Mustang, 1980-1984 Mercury Cougar, and 1977-1980 Mercury Monarch — see the Buyer’s Guide tab for the full list of 79 applications.

  • Spark distribution: delivers high-voltage current from the ignition coil to the distributor cap terminals for each cylinder.
  • Built to OE fit, form, and function: designed for proper alignment and spark distribution.
  • High-dielectric-strength materials: made to resist arcing and heat degradation under demanding operating conditions.
  • Corrosion-resistant contact surface: supports consistent conductivity and reliable ignition output.

A worn or cracked rotor can contribute to hard starting, misfires, or engine hesitation. If a failed distributor rotor is the cause, this unit replaces it and restores proper spark delivery. Diagnose the ignition system first to confirm the rotor is the issue before replacing.
