Give your gas pedal a fresh connection to the carburetor with the Pioneer Automotive Industries Carburetor Accelerator Cable CA-8507. It is a replacement cable for the 1985-1986 Chevrolet G10, G20 and G30 and the 1985-1986 GMC G1500, G2500 and G3500. It also fits the 1985 Chevrolet Astro and 1985 GMC Safari. See the Buyer’s Guide tab for engine-specific fitment.
The accelerator cable carries pedal movement to the carburetor’s throttle linkage, so the throttle opening follows your foot. Pioneer offers this cable as a quality replacement and builds it to OE specifications.
- Steel inner cable: a durable steel core carries pedal movement to the throttle linkage.
- Polymer outer housing: covers the inner cable to help protect it from corrosion and abrasion.
- Built to OE specs: made to original-equipment specifications.
- Hardware where applicable: Pioneer cables often come with common brackets, grommets and ends when the application calls for them.
These signs may mean the accelerator cable needs replacing: a pedal that sticks or feels stiff, a throttle that is slow to return, excess slack or delayed throttle response, or a frayed or kinked cable. If a worn cable is the cause, CA-8507 replaces it. Diagnose the cause before replacing, because throttle linkage or carburetor problems can produce similar symptoms.
